The Bay College Board of Trustees regretfully received the resignation of Eric L. Lundin, effective September 30, 2025. Lundin served Bay College with wholehearted dedication for nearly 18 years, bringing his valuable insights and attention to detail, especially in financial and enrollment matters, as well as in the hiring of Bay College presidents Dr. Laura Coleman in 2006 and Dr. Nerita Hughes in 2023.

Lundin's term expires on December 31, 2026. At their regular board meeting on September 24, 2025, the Board appointed Cory Kuchenberg to fill the vacancy created by Lundin's departure. Kuchenberg brings experience in the financial services industry as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones in Escanaba, MI, and previously as a Loan Officer at U.P. State Bank. He is also the owner of Great North Auto Wash in Escanaba, bringing additional business expertise as an entrepreneur. Kuchenberg holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Lake Superior State University and is an alumnus of Bay College.

Board Chair Nick Chenier commented, "On behalf of the Bay College Board of Trustees, past and present, we extend our deepest gratitude to Eric Lundin for his 18 years of dedicated service to Bay College. Eric's countless contributions have played a vital role in shaping Bay into the outstanding institution it is today. Eric's insight, leadership, and commitment will be profoundly missed. We wish him and his family all the very best in the years ahead.

Looking forward, the Board is pleased to welcome Cory Kuchenberg to fill this critical role. Cory's expertise in finance and business will bring valuable perspective to our work, and we are confident his contributions will strengthen the vision and direction of Bay College. We look forward to serving alongside him in support of our students, faculty, and community."

Kuchenberg stated, "I'm honored to accept the appointment as a trustee for Bay de Noc Community College. I look forward to collaborating with fellow trustees, faculty, staff, and stakeholders to support Bay College's goals and contribute to its continued success."
