Announcing the Bay College and LSSU Regional Chapter of Business Professionals of America annual Warm Coats for Warm Hearts campaign, which collects coats for those in need in Delta County.
This student-driven campaign runs for two weeks starting Monday, October 6th – October 20th. Collection boxes are located throughout Delta County at the participating businesses: Elmer’s County Market, Pat’s Foods IGA (Gladstone), Integra First Federal Credit Union (Powers), YMCA Aquatics & Athletics buildings, Massies County Market (Bark River), Delta Church, and on the Bay College Escanaba Campus in the HUB during business hours.
“BPA encourages professionalism while being able to help support the community. I’m learning to develop my leadership skills as we work through this campaign, through the importance of volunteering our time, talents, and treasures to our community,” says Marcy Dugree, BPA member and Bay College student pursuing an Associates in Business.
At the end of the two weeks, these coats will be distributed to Tri-County Safe Harbor and Salvation Army. Any size coat or other winter gear (scarves, gloves, hats, snow pants) are welcome, in sizes from infant to adult. While new items are preferred, lightly used items are appreciated.
If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, please contact: Marcy Dugree at (906) 235-6979 or email at marcy.dugree@baycollege.edu.
