The End the Silence Walk for suicide prevention will be Saturday, September 13, 2025.
Janet Lindstrom, “The End the Silence Walk began in 2009. It was started by Bruce and Cindy Binter and their family. They lost two sons, Bobby and Josh, to suicide. Each year, we raise money for the Delta County Suicide Task Force so that we can provide programs in the schools and our community to educate others on suicide prevention, to bring hope to those who are contemplating the act, to provide support to those who have lost someone to suicide, and to provide help for those who are fighting depression. We are a non-profit organization and rely on donations to our mission. We also support groups who work with those who are high risk for suicide or work with students who need encouragement, for example, the YES program, which is Youth Empowerment Services. We have impacted our community in many ways over the past years.”
The End the Silence Walk for suicide prevention will be Saturday, September 13th. As an extension of the Walk, the Life Keeper quilts (faces of suicide) will be displayed at Bay College in the South Besse Gallery from September 16- 30, 2025.
