Congratulations on becoming a Bay Norse! New Student Orientation is more than an event—it's your first step toward a successful and rewarding college experience. Join us to meet new friends, connect with the Bay College community, and start your journey with confidence.

Whether you're a recent high school graduate, transitioning from Dual Enrollment, an Early Middle College student, or completely new to college life, Orientation will help you navigate your next steps and discover the many resources available to support your success at Bay.

Not new to college? Students transferring from another college or returning to Bay College are also welcome and encouraged to attend.

• Review the academic support, financial aid, counseling services, and additional resources available to you.

• Locate your classrooms before the first day.
• Get more information about textbooks and course materials.

Connect with Faculty and Staff

• Meet academic advisors, faculty members, and student support staff who are here to help you succeed.

Complete Important Tasks

• Receive your Student ID.
• Learn how to access student systems and resources.

Meet Other Students & Enjoy Lunch on Us

• Get to know fellow Bay College students through interactive activities and social opportunities.
• Lunch and refreshments will be provided during the event.

Fall 2026 Orientation Dates and Times

Iron Mountain Campus
Date:  Friday, August 14, 2026
Time: 9am – 1pm CT

Escanaba Campus

Morning Session
Date:  Friday, August 21, 2026
Time: 9am-1pm ET

Afternoon Session
Date:  Friday, August 21, 2026
Time: 12pm - 4pm ET

Additional Services will be available until 5pm. Feel free to stick around and complete any last-minute items you still need to do.

Attention Early Middle College Students (EMC)

Students enrolled in the Early Middle College/Early College (EMC) program; New Student Orientation is required. EMC Students are asked to attend the AM Session at the Escanaba Campus and will also join the EMC Orientation to follow. ECM Students will be on campus from 9am – 4pm.

How to Register

Registration is now open! Students who have been accepted to Bay College will receive an invitation to register for Orientation.

To RSVP:
1.     Check your Bay College email and personal email for your invitation.

2.     Select your preferred campus location and orientation session.

3.     Complete the registration form by the RSVP deadline.

Can't Attend In Person?

We understand that not every student can attend an in-person event.

Students unable to participate in New Student Orientation on campus will have access to the New Student Online Orientation through Blackboard.

The Online New Student Orientation covers important information about becoming a Bay College student and can be completed at your convenience.

Important:
The New Student Online Orientation is different from the Online Learning Orientation (OLO).

• New Student Online Orientation helps students learn about Bay College and student resources.
• Online Learning Orientation (OLO) is specifically for students enrolled in online or hybrid courses and focuses on online learning expectations and tools.
