Foundation Scholarships
Application Available: January 1 - November 15

Need money for college? Bay College awards over $650,000 in scholarships to 300+ incoming and returning students that meet donor specified criteria. The scholarship program at Bay College is open to all students who submits the scholarship application. Funds to help you achieve your educational goals are supported by contributions and gifts from community organizations, businesses, Bay employees, families, foundations, and individual donors via the Bay College Foundation. All students incoming and returning are eligibility to apply for all scholarships with one application.

Board of Trustees Scholarship
Application Deadline: March 1
Bay College offers three Board Elite Scholarships and six Board of Trustees Scholarships annually to incoming high school seniors (and Early College graduate, second year only) with a 3.8 cumulative GPA. Eligible students complete one application for the chance to receive a Board Scholarship. myBay login is required to apply for these competitive scholarships.
The Board Elite Scholarships cover full tuition and fees, as well as course required text books for the fall and winter semesters immediately following high school graduation (Early College graduate, second year only) and are renewable for a 2nd year (fall and winter semesters) provided required criteria is maintained.
The Board of Trustees Scholarship is $4,000 for the year divided equally between the fall and winter semesters immediately following high school graduation (Early College graduate, second year only) and are renewable for a 2nd year (fall and winter semesters) provided required criteria is maintained.
- Graduating senior from a Bay College service area (Bark River-Harris, Big Bay, Carney-Nadeau, Crystal Falls/Forest Park, Escanaba, Gladstone, Iron Mountain, Kingsford, Manistique, Menominee, Mid-Peninsula, Nah Tah Wahsh, North Central, North Dickinson, Norway, Rapid River, Stephenson, Superior Central, and other recognized learning systems within Delta and Dickinson Counties.)
- Graduating senior (and Early College graduate) with a cumulative high school GPA of at least a 3.8.
- Must be accepted to Bay College one week prior to the deadline (application requires myBay login).
- Student must begin attendance to Bay College no later than the first fall semester following high school graduation and maintain full-time (12 credits or more) enrollment in each Fall and Winter semesters.
- Attain a 3.2 GPA minimum at Bay College each semester to receive the full award the following semester and year.
- Accepted students who meet the eligibility requirements will be sent a letter by the President of Bay College inviting them to complete the Board of Trustees scholarship application process.
- Complete the online scholarship application and submit by March 1. The application consists of two essays, two reference letters, and current high school transcript (for accurate GPA).
- Recipients will be notified of the award in April.
Leadership Scholarship
Application Deadline: March 15
Bay College offers six $7,000 Leadership Scholarships annually to incoming high school seniors (and Early College graduate) with a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Students who demonstrate their strong leadership skills in high school, community involvement, academic achievement, can apply online. Leadership Scholarships are made possible by gifts to the Bay College Foundation from Greg and Linda Yagodzinski. myBay login is required to apply for competitive scholarships.
- Graduating senior (Early College graduate) with a cumulative high school GPA of at least a 3.0.
- Must be accepted to Bay College one week prior to the deadline (application requires myBay login).
- Student must begin attendance to Bay College no later than the first fall semester following high school graduation.
- Be a full time student, 12+ credits per semester.
- Attain a 2.5 GPA minimum at Bay College fall semester to receive winter semester.
- Complete the online scholarship application and submit by March 15. The application consists of one essay, list of involvements, one reference letter, and current high school transcript to verify GPA.
- Recipients will be notified of the award in April.

Emergency Medical Services Workforce Scholarship

Bay College, through a Michigan Department of Health and Human Services grant, is offering EMS-Paramedic Scholarships for the 2023 and 2024 academic year. This grant provides $204,000 for scholarships to Bay College students who are Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) enrolled in the AAS Paramedic program. myBay login is required to apply for these scholarships.

- Attend Bay College pursuing a Paramedic degree

- The application consists of one essay and two recommendations.

BSN Scholarship
Application Deadline: August 1, 2026
Bay College has partnered with Saginaw Valley State University to offer a BSN program. This partnership allows for scholarships to be provided to students to help with costs directly at Saginaw Valley State University. Scholarships are available for a maximum award of $20,000 to assist students with direct costs toward completion of their bachelor’s degree.
