The Bay de Noc Community College Iron Mountain Advisory Board was created to ensure that the Iron Mountain campus meets the needs of the local community and delivers programs and services in line with the College’s agreements with the State of Michigan, its contract with Dickinson County, and millage propositions approved by Dickinson County voters.

The Advisory Board does not hold legal authority. Its role is to provide guidance, review, and recommendations regarding programs, services, and related activities at the Iron Mountain campus.

The Board consists of nine members representing:

  • 4 from business and industry
  • 3 from the Dickinson County community
  • 1 from the Dickinson County School District
  • 1 from the Dickinson County Board of Commissioners

Members are appointed by the Bay de Noc Community College Board of Trustees, which also designates one trustee to serve as liaison between the Advisory Board and the Board of Trustees.

The Advisory Board meets quarterly to receive updates from the College President, the Executive Director of the Iron Mountain campus, and the Vice President of Workforce Innovation & Strategic Partnerships.
