Why Health Care?

The certificate lays the foundation for students to ladder into a variety of health career occupations.  It affords the student the opportunity to earn a certificate into entry-level health occupations, such as Certified Nurse Assistant or a phlebotomist.

Why Bay College?

The Health Careers certificate at Bay College provides an opportunity for the student to experience entry into a health profession, become employed within a short period of time, and enjoy an income while attending other health-related programs, such as Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, or Laboratory Medical Science programs.

Many of our students utilize the phlebotomy “elective” option to complete their certificate by participating in a 160 hour co-operative experience at an area healthcare facility to become a Certified Phlebotomist.
