Enjoy music this summer

Strings on the Bay

Strings on the Bay

Strings on the Bay Featuring "Teacher, Student, Master"
Tuesday, August 10, 2021
7:30 PM - 9:00 PM
First Presbyterian Church

The summer concerts conclude with a concert by the True North Quartet on August 10th. Their program this year features music of Beethoven, too, but with the twist that we hear music by Beethoven’s teacher, Haydn and by one of his famous pupils, Carl Czerny.

Strings on the Bay would not be possible without our sponsors. Bay College thanks you for your generous contribution. Sponsorship opportunities are available for $100. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please visit Network for Good or send a check to the address below.

Victoria Vox

Victoria Vox

Monday, August 9, 2021
7:00 PM
Besse Center

Victoria Vox is an award-winning songwriter and performer who loves to make an audience laugh...and cry. Her songs are genuine, sometimes quirky, spanning a wide array of emotions. She performs mostly as a one-woman-band, incorporating a loop pedal and bass effect on her ukulele, while taking her own solos (on mouth-trumpet), and cutting through it all with her genuine lyrics and pure voice. Originally from Green Bay, WI, Vox has lived in France, England, Nashville, Baltimore, and now resides in Costa Mesa, CA. Joining Vox this evening is her husband Jack Maher (a.k.a. “Jack and Vox”). Tickets are $12/adult and $6/student or Bay College employee.

Bay College Courtyard

Join us during your lunch hour! Live outdoor performances and a food truck will be on campus in the Courtyard. As long as the weather corporates (this is the U.P. after all), what a great way to spend a lunch hour surrounded by native plants, sculptures, and friends. Performances to be announced and our very own Matt Wiles Food Services of the Bay Café will be slinging tacos out of their new food truck, Taco Kitchen. This is a free community event, everyone is welcome, just be sure to bring some cash for a taco or two (or three!).
