A Delta County native, Dennis graduated from Escanaba High School in 1974, and earned his Associate of Arts Degree from Bay College in 1977. He transferred to Western Michigan University, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

After graduation, Dennis began his career as a salesperson for his family’s business, Pearson Boiler. In 1987, Dennis started his own business, Pearson Asbestos Abatement. Over the past thirty years, Dennis has grown his business throughout the Upper Peninsula and Wisconsin. Dennis is a certified asbestos remover, project designer and building inspector - making our environment a safer place to live, work and raise families.

In addition to managing a successful business, Dennis is involved in numerous service organizations and leadership positions within the community. He is active in the Escanaba Noon Kiwanis Club and has served on the Escanaba Board of Review for over thirty years. Dennis is also a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Dennis resides in Escanaba with his wife, Marilyn. He is the father of four daughters, and has instilled in their lives the importance of good grades, a strong work ethic and commitment to the community.

In 2017, the Bay College Alumni Association announced Dennis Pearson as the Distinguished Alumnus of the year.
