Student Art Exhibition: Celebrating Student Success - Fall 2022

Bay College is excited to announce the reception for the Student Art Exhibition that celebrates the success of our art students at Bay College!  We look forward to this exhibition at the end of each semester; their work will be displayed in the Besse Gallery from December 7 through August 2023.  The Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony is Tuesday, December 13 at 2pm ET, this will be an opportunity to meet the artists and engage in conversations about their work.

The exhibition represents a culmination of a semester of work for these students.  The exhibit will include animations, digital photography, painting, and digital 2-D design.  The students use a variety of media to produce their compelling works, they are learning to create unified compositions that effectively communicate their ideas and expertise.  The exhibited works originated from the following art classes – Digital Cinema I & II, Intro to Art Design, Performance and Installation, and Drawing I & II.  This is a juried art show in which one artwork per course will be purchased and become part of Bay’s Permanent Art Collection; 2^nd and 3^rd place winners will receive monetary awards.

This year we have an outdoor art installation, Rewind, and a performance art piece, Against the Void, that will be shared during the reception.  Join us in the celebration of our talented students! We invite friends, family, and the community to celebrate their success.
