Voter Information Session to Take Place at Bay College

Bay College is proud to partner with the Delta County League of Women Voters (LWV) and the Escanaba Area Branch of American Association of University Women (AAUW) to provide a voter education event on Tuesday, January 30 at 7pm ET in JHUC 952 on the Escanaba campus. This event is free and open to the public.

This information session is focused on explaining the upcoming changes to Michigan election procedures, including 9 days of early voting, permanent absentee ballot applications, local drop boxes, and more.

In addition to a PowerPoint presentation by Ann Bissell of the LWV and overview by the Delta County Clerk, Nancy Przewrocki, some former and current Delta Board of Election Canvassers, Margaret Carignan and John Meyers, will also be available to provide their years of experience with the process of election verification and secure ballot counting procedures.

Early voting options take effect for federal and state elections in 2024. These new changes will be implemented for the Michigan Presidential Primary on February 27.
