OSF HealthCare St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group recently donated two infant warmers and four cribs to the Bay College Simulation Center. These items will support hands-on learning for Allied Health students at both the Escanaba and Iron Mountain campuses.

The radiant warmers and cribs donated will help Bay College update some of the currently utilized (although outdated) equipment and provide a more present-day and accurate environment in the simulated birthing room. In addition, the equipment will be distributed to both the Escanaba and Iron Mountain campus locations, ensuring that every Allied Health student at Bay College will be able to utilize these new tools. These donations are very beneficial to current and future students-- many of whom might likely become OSF employees someday.

“Establishing and maintaining a connection with OSF is mutually beneficial, and we appreciate the ongoing relationship and support,” says Jennifer Farnsworth, MSN, RNC-NIC-NNIC, NNP-BC, Nursing Instructor at Bay College. “I love teaching the family nursing clinicals at OSF because many of the nurses that are currently working there were Bay graduates that I had the privilege of teaching.”
