Congratulations to Bridget Murphy, Bay College’s Quarterly (March – May 2024) TORCH Award Recipient! Bridget, a full-time staff member, joined Bay College in August of 2021 as the Temporary IT Assistant. Two months later, Bridget was promoted to Technical Support Specialist for Iron Mountain Campus. Bridget has been nominated by her colleagues for being dedicated to the mission of Bay College.

“Bridget is always willing to help, often going above and beyond what is expected.”

 “She is adept at prioritizing issues and budgeting her time to ensure everyone has the chance to succeed. It doesn't matter if she's helping a student, a faculty member, or a community member on campus for a meeting, Bridget wants to resolve any issue that may happen efficiently.”

 “Bridget ensures a culture of success at Bay College. She wants everyone to have the proper tools to succeed. She focuses with the same desire to help whether she's helping a community member or helping a student find their classroom.”

 The purpose of the TORCH Award is to give personal recognition to those employees on Bay College’s campuses dedicated to the mission of the College because of their attitude, commitment, and dedication toward the higher education learning environment.  TORCH stands for: Team Player; Outstanding Performance; Responsive to Others; Conscientious to the Mission of Bay; Helpful to All
