Scott M. Peterson to Address Bay Graduates

Bay College is excited to announce that Scott M. Peterson has been selected to deliver the College’s 2022 graduation commencement speech on May 7th.

Scott is the fifth of seven siblings, and second of his siblings to earn a college degree.  Last winter Scott earned an Associate in Applied Science Degree and will be awarded his second, Associate in Arts, this May.  He is excited to welcome his sister, Kate Peterson, to the list of degree holders as he walks across the stage with her this spring.  His plan is to transfer to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the coming year.

He says, “Bay College has given me a fantastic foundation for my future. I have grown academically, personally, and feel I am well prepared to face whatever comes next.”  In his powerful speech about overcoming challenges and the joys that come from pressing on, you are sure to be inspired and challenged.

Scott has been playing piano for 18 years, loves photography, and is rarely seen without tea or coffee nearby.  He is passionate about helping the poor and empowering others to live rich and fulfilling lives.
