Inaugural Ceremony for Bay College President, Dr. Nerita Hughes

The Inaugural Ceremony for Dr. Nerita Hughes, 6th President of Bay College, will take place on Bay College’s campus in Escanaba on Thursday, November 2. The community is encouraged to watch the ceremony online at www.baycollege.edu/president starting at 4:15 pm ET.  A Presidential Celebration will take place at Bay College in Iron Mountain on Friday, November 3.

Dr. Hughes was selected unanimously by the Bay College Board of Trustees to become Bay College’s sixth president.  She previously served as the Interim Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs and Workforce Innovation and the Dean for the School of Business, Careers, Education and Workforce Innovation at North Hennepin Community College.

Dr. Hughes assumed the position of Bay College President on July 10 and has completed a 100-day listening tour with input from students, employees, community members and business owners.
